Everyone and every business has things they don't need. We call this excess inventory. Swap.Net gives you a place to post your goods in a different market then your regular customers. It gives you a way of getting rid of excess inventory without necessarily having to warranty them the same way you would at your current cash business. You might even sell your inventory under a completely different name than your primary business so as to not confuse existing customers or potential customers. Another benefit is excess employee time. In every business I have ever been involved in there are busy times and slow times. In the service business if you can keep your employees busy doing services that help to offset their expenses it is a win-win. Your employees get to stay on regular hours and you still have good use of their time. Also if you refer people to Swap.Net that become members you can earn substantial benefits. What is an Affiliate? An affiliate is a person or business that can see the potential in using Swap.Net and likes the concept but for one reason or another does not have a current need or does not wish to become a member. Affiliates can earn monthly residual income of $1.00 per month per personally referred paid member. An affiliate just has to register with the company for FREE and then meet two small requirements. Maintain a link/URL on at least one website that points at Swap.Net using a pre-approved banner or text link. Use our convenient form to submit at least 5 emails addresses of friends or family as referrals. Swap.Net will send these people an email offering them a gift or bonus for becoming a member. If they do become members the affiliate is notified and will earn $1.00US per month for as long as the member remains in current status. What is a Member? A Swap.Net Member is a person or business that pays a monthly membership and participates in bartering products or serivces. A Member can simply use Swap.Net as a bartering service for the obvious advantages of bartering over using cash dollars for purchases. But another advantage of being a Member is that a current paid Member is eligible to receive CASH Residual income for referring other people or businesses to Swap.Net that become paid Members. Members earn residual income in cash and Swap-Its on the monthly membership and transactions of those they referred to Swap.Net Affiliates only earn $1.00 residual income per month per personally referred paid member. How much is Membership? Currently there is only one membership level billed at $29.95US cash per month. This must be paid via credit card or automated debit from a debit card or checking account. We do not offer refunds on membership fees. To become a Member you have to sign our Terms of Service Agreement online form or you may print one sign and mail in. What is a Territory Director? A Territory Director could be considered the local representative of Swap.Net. Territories are sold or assigned to approved local business owners usually by zip code or several zip codes at a time. A Territory Director does earn a referral fee from all paid members in a spcific Territory regardless of how they became a member. The Territory Director has specific qualifications that need to be met and maintained to continue to receive the income from the territory. Cash can be earned in small amounts or in large amounts depending on how you approach the business. Some people wont be interested in making money but just interested in moving or getting rid of excess inventory or products that they no longer need. Some will see the opportunity of making a little extra income by referring others. Then there are those that will make a full time income by taking full advantage of both opportunities or bartering and of referring others. Normally one United States dollar is equal to one Swap-It. Consider it like any other currency. It has a value and that value can fluctuate based upon the circumstances of "Supply and Demand". How do I get Swap-Its? The most common way to earn Swap-Its is to sell a product or service. We do have occasssional special promotions in which we offer an amount of Swap-Its for particular actions such as referring new members or doing so much business volume. We also have an Auction Center where you can buy Swap-Its with Cash dollars. Can I use barter dollars from other barter companies with Swap.Net? We are working on an interface that will allow you to post that you have other barter dollars available for trade. It will be between buyer and seller to determine if a deal can be made. Because most other barter dollars have cash commissions involved it will be up to buyer and seller to discuss the options. How can I Login into Swap.Net? You can use your Email ID to login into Swap.Net I forgot my Login information or Password How do I retrieve it? Simply click on the Forgot my Password link. You will have two options. Submit your email address and we will email you your password. Or you can answer a couple of questions and we will allow you to login and reset your password. I am an Affiliate and wish to upgrade to Member How do I do this? You login to your account at My Account and then click on the Upgrade link. You will be presented with a form with to provide your billing information allowing you to switch to Paid Member status. Can I get a Swap-It credit line? Yes. Read the Terms of Service agreement and then fill out our online credit application in two working days or less we will notify you via email if your credit is approved. How is Shipping handled? Shipping is handled by the seller of the product. The seller predetermines the amount of shipping an item will cost or negotiates it with the buyer at sellers discretion. Swap.Net has the ability to transfer the cash amount from buyers cash account to sellers cash account if so desired. When do I get Paid the Cash? No commissions are paid out until you have accrued a cash balance in excess of $50.00US. Then and only then you may visit in the My Account section the link that says Pay Me. You will fill out the simple form and we will send you the money as directed by your form submission. Can I print Statements or view transaction history? You login to your account at My Account and then click on the Statements link. You will be able to view or print statements for up to a 12 month history. How do I list my products for sale? You login to your account at My Account and then click on the add Product link. You will be presented with a form with fields prompting you for specific information. Once you submit a product it can be modified or deleted easily so there is no need to worry about making mistakes. Just make sure to check the accuracy of your data and how it looks on the site. We often recommend that you have someone else take a look at your listings to help proof read. How do I list my Services for sale? You login to your account at My Account and then click on the add Service link. You will be presented with a form with fields prompting you for specific information. Once you submit a service it can be modified or deleted easily so there is no need to worry about making mistakes. Just make sure to check the accuracy of your data and how it looks on the site. We often recommend that you have someone else take a look at your listings to help proof read. Can I use my own Domain name? If you already have your own domain name and it is hosted somewhere you can add banners and links to your pages pointing to your referral number at Swap.Net. To create your link, login to the Promotion Ideas page and choose your preferences. If you don't yet have a domain name we have a program for this. Please contact us to show your interest in a new domain and hosting. Can I have a customized store front? At this time customized store fronts are not available. You may however create your own store front and we can for an additional fee assist you with hosting your site or even your own domain name on our servers. We have near future plans of creating a simplified process and service for hosting template driven store fronts for your products. Where do I find banners and artwork to help me promote Swap.Net? You can click here or on the home page look for the Promotion Ideas link. How do I refer my friends and associates to Swap.Net to earn credit? There are several ways to refer people to Swap.Net. On the website there is a link called Refer a Friend. Click on Refer a Friend and there is a form where all you do is type in the name and email address of your friends and we will send them a pre-written email with direct links to login so that you get the credit if they use your link. Other ways are having links on your websites, advertising in newspapers, putting business cards or post cards on community bulletin boards. For Promotion ideas you can look for the Promotion Ideas link. How do I cancel my account? You can log into your accuont and click on the My Account link. In the My Account section there is a place to click on Cancel. It will ask you why you wish to cancel in a simple form to be submitted. Or you can call the office during office hours if you wish. What happens to my Swap-Its if I cancel membership? If you stop paying your monthly membership or cancel your account, all barter dollars will be forfeited. It is recommended that you sell them for cash or go ahead and purchase gift items or gift certificates before your membership expires or you cancel. If you have a credit line of Swap-Its or barter dollars that has a remaining balance your credit card will be billed $1.00US for each 1.00 barter dollar. If your credit card bounces or rejects the charge your account will be turned over to collections and your credit will reflect the non-payment status.
